San Francisco World Spirits Competition Gold Medal Wine Enthusiast Magazine: 93 points/Highly Recommended BTI rating: 91 points/Exceptional International Review of Spirits Award: Silver Medal
This medium to full bodied bourbon presents a classic profile of vanilla, caramel and cherry on the nose - rich and compelling. Sweet, smooth corn combined with brown sugar/maple syrup and oak is balanced with a notable spice contributed by the higher than normal rye content. The finish is beautifully long with notes of buttery oak, toffee, and again the cherries make an appearance. |

| | Masterson's 12 Year Old Straight Wheat Whiskey Sonoma, CA
Regular Price $72 WEEKEND PRICE $65
Distilled and aged in Canada, for a California company located in Sonoma. As a straight whiskey, the spirit must be barreled and aged in new American Oak; however this Masterson’s whiskey also holds the distinction of being perhaps the only Canadian whiskey which is distilled on a copper pot still from a mash of 100 % wheat grain. It is aged for 12 years, bottled at 50% alcohol by volume. Named after Wild West character "Bat" Masterson, this is not a bourbon, being as it is made completely from Canadian winter wheat. But it's lovingly distilled through a copper pot still aged in new American oak, and brought to proof using pristine glacier meltwater. The result is a light gold whiskey, rich in darker flavor notes: chocolate, caramel, cookie dough, toffee, and wood.
