University of Maryland School of Medicine

  • The University of Maryland, Baltimore, School Mental Health Program has an exciting opening for a School Mental Health Counselor or Senior Counselor, Department of Psychiatry - Child and Adolescent Division (Baltimore City, Maryland). The counselor (LMSW, LGPC) or senior counselor (LCSW-C, LCPC) will provide a full continuum of mental health services and consultation to students enrolled in Baltimore City Schools. Services include prevention, early intervention, and treatment. This is an in-person, 12-month position with excellent benefits and an incredible array of professional development!

Clinical Postdoctoral Fellowship in School Mental Health

The National Center for School Mental Health in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Maryland School of Medicine (Baltimore, MD) invites applications for a full-time, two-year postdoctoral fellowship in child and adolescent mental health starting in Fall 2024.

 

The fellow will be working with faculty and a multidisciplinary team to provide and advance high quality clinical skills in schools through the University of Maryland School Mental Health Program. This fellowship is supported by federal and state grants and contracts. In addition to collaborating on school mental health activities, the fellowship may include the opportunity for policy and research work related to schools, depending on candidates’ interests and experience. Competitive salary and benefits will be provided.

 

Candidates should have:

  • interest in providing high quality, evidence-based multi-tiered school mental health services

  • excellent communication skills, and the ability and desire to represent the National Center for School Mental Health and the University of Maryland School of Medicine

  • experience providing school-based mental health services as part of a multi-disciplinary team

  • appreciation of scientist-practitioner model and interest in applied research
