Dear Colleague, The Prince George’s School Mental Health Initiative (PGSMHI) will be hosting a virtual training on January 24, 2025 from 1:00 - 2:00pm titled, "Using a Cultural Contextual Lens for Understanding Black Youth Depression." This training will focus on assessment, prevention, and intervention considerations for supporting Black youth impacted by depression. In light of the increasing rates of Black youth suicide, the presentation will also include information on suicide prevention within a cultural context. Continuing Education (CE) credits will be available for licensed psychologists, social workers, and professional counselors. If you would like to participate in the training, please register. The Zoom link will be provided prior to the training. Please see the attached flyer for additional details. For questions, please contact Dr. Dana Cunningham, at dana.cunningham@pgcps.org.
