Subject: New Practice Brief by Dr. Sharon Hoover on Moving Upstream: Opportunities in School Mental Health

Dear Colleague,

Dr. Sharon Hoover, Co-Director of the National Center for School Mental Health (NCSMH), was invited to author Moving Upstream: Opportunities in School Mental Health, the first in a series of School Mental Health practice briefs hosted by the Iowa Scanlan Center for School Mental Health. The purpose of the Scanlan Center is to provide social, emotional, behavioral, and psychological services to all of Iowa's school - not only to aid in COVID-19 recovery but to build state capacity for immediate and future delivery of mental health supports across the state. The Scanlan Center unites educational partners, policymakers, and mental health professionals to serve as Iowa's hub for research-to-practice related to mental health. This center is an excellent example of a state hub for school mental health! We encourage you to stay connected with their work.
