NCSMH Co-Director, Dr. Sharon Hoover, just published a policy brief: Investing in School Mental Health: Strategies to Wisely Spend Federal and State Funding.

Published in Psychiatric Services and as part of the Think Bigger Do Good Policy Series, the brief highlights four strategies for states to consider: leverage cross-sector partnerships to advance school mental health policies and funding, strengthen and expand Medicaid coverage of Comprehensive School Mental Health Systems (CSMHSs), establish and enhance data systems, and create state technical assistance and professional development support for CSMHS implementation through local education agencies.
