Job Alert! Seeking a School-based SEL and Equity Coach in Anne Arundel County, Maryland


The Training & Technical Assistance Specialist will be expected to serve as a school-based champion to provide professional development and coaching in elementary and middle schools engaged in a federally-funded research study funded by the National Institute of Minority Health and Health Disparities. The position is funded through August 30, 2024. The research study is being conducted in select elementary and middle schools in the Anne Arundel County Public Schools through a partnership between Sheppard Pratt, the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, and the University of Virginia School of Education and Human Development. The study focuses on improving teacher and student racial equity literacy, advancing racial justice in schools, and supporting social emotional learning in the classroom. The Training and Technical Assistant Specialist will be expected to provide in-person professional development-focused training and coaching to teachers; support research team data collection efforts; participate in research team meetings throughout the school year; and provide material development, planning, and research support as needed.
