Subject: Advancing School Mental Health Conference - Top 10 List of Helpful Tips and Reminders

Dear Advancing School Mental Health Attendees, Presenters and Exhibitors,

The 2019 Annual Conference on Advancing School Mental Health hosted by the National Center for School Mental Health (NCSMH) is this week at the Hilton Austin, 500 East 4th Street, Austin, TX. Our team cannot wait to see you!

Below is our top ten list to help you prepare for the conference:

1. Location, Date and Time
Pre-conference sessions are on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 and the full conference will start on Thursday, November 7th and will continue through November 9th.

All sessions are at the Hilton Austin, 500 East 4th Street, Austin, TX. Please look for our signs to help you find our rooms and note that sessions will take place on the 4th and 6th floor of the hotel.

The keynote sessions on both November 7th and 8th will begin promptly at 7:45 AM in the 6th floor Ballroom. Please refer to the Program Booklet to review the full program, including session descriptions and room locations. Make sure to download the conference mobile app, Attendee Hub.

2. Parking and Transportation
If you are driving, be prepared for traffic; leave extra time to get to the hotel and we recommend that you park 20 minutes before you wish to arrive at a session.

Here are some parking options at, or close to, the Hilton. Please note that we cannot compensate you for parking.
• Self-Parking at Hilton: $32/day (plus tax)
• Valet parking at Hilton: $41/day (plus tax)
• (1 block from Hilton): Public Parking Garage at the Austin Convention Center, 601 East 5th Street: $15 for 8-12 hours
• (3 blocks from Hilton): Public Parking Garage at 301 Congress: $35/day
• Parking Meters are also an option!

3. Registration
Online registration is closed, but in-person registration opens at the event at 7:00 AM on Thursday the 7th outside General Session Ballroom, located on the 6th floor. We accept Visa, Mastercard, purchase orders, or checks (made payable to the University of Maryland). Questions about payment should be directed to Christina Huntley at the University of Maryland.

4. Payment Completion
Confirmation emails were sent to those who completed payment. If you want to make sure your payment was received, please check for a confirmation email from the NCSMH. If you do not see it, be sure to also check your spam/trash/junk folders. If you still need assistance, please see our business team on-site.

5. Continuing Education
Continuing Education Units and Continuing Medical Education Credits are approved for counselors, Texas educators/teachers, health educators, marriage-family therapists, nurses, occupational therapists, physicians, social workers, and psychologists.

In order to receive Continuing Education for attending the conference, you must complete the entire event evaluation. Be sure to stop by the continuing education table and pick up your instructional packet.

6. Speakers
Please stop by the speaker table to upload your presentation, if you have not already forwarded it to the NCSMH. In each breakout room, there is a screen, laptop, audio sound, Wi-Fi, flip chart, markers, and a clicker. There will also be a moderator to distribute the evaluation and to assist you. You must bring your flash drive to upload your presentation in the breakout session.

7. Exhibitors
Exhibitors can start setting up their displays on the 4th floor Wednesday evening (beginning at 7:00 PM) or Thursday morning (beginning at 6:30 AM).
Attendees: Please be sure to stop by exhibit booths when you get a chance! Resources will be available from various vendors located on the 4th floor. Exhibits are only available on Thursday and Friday.

8. Poster Presentation Session
Poster boards will be available on Friday in the 6th floor ballroom. Presenters can start setting up their posters at 4pm. Presentations will start in the ballroom at 5:00 PM and the session is open to all attendees!

9. Attire
Temperatures are difficult to regulate in large meeting rooms, so please dress in layers and bring a sweater or jacket.

10. Meals
There will be a light continental breakfast on Thursday and Friday. A box lunch is available on Thursday. Please pick up a box lunch and attend one of the sessions listed in your Program Booklet. On Friday, there will be a sit-down award luncheon. There will also be a Networking Reception starting at 5:00 PM in the poster presentation area of the Ballroom on the 6th floor.
