Launch of NCAT’s Aboriginal fact sheet ‘Do you need legal help?’
To celebrate NAIDOC Week 2022, NCAT is proud to launch a new dedicated fact sheet for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

There are many free services in NSW that can give legal information, advice and referrals for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

NCAT’s new fact sheet lists these services and aims to help Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients be prepared if they need to come to NCAT to resolve a legal problem.

The fact sheet design features artwork previously commissioned by the Tribunal from Aboriginal artist Mandy Davis. Born in Forster on the NSW mid north coast, Mandy Davis is of the Biripi people and also has connections to the Worimi people. Mandy began painting in 1990, and her work is acknowledged both nationally and internationally, receiving many commendations and awards.

NAIDOC Week 2022 celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This year’s theme is “Get Up! Stand up! Show up!”
