Hey ,
If you’ve been thinking about coming to the National Nurses in Business Association (NNBA) Conference but haven’t quite committed, I want to share something real with you.
When I was working as a nurse—on the floor and in leadership—I understood what I was getting in return for my work.
It wasn’t always money, but it was meaningful.
A patient more comfortable.
A family saying goodbye in peace.
A team member who felt heard.
Even when it was hard, I knew what I did mattered.
But in business?
The return is delayed.
Sometimes it feels like it’s not there at all.
People don’t always follow through.
The work doesn’t always feel seen.
And I have questioned whether the impact was landing.
And that’s when it becomes tempting to stop showing up.
But I’ve learned this:
The reward often comes after the obedience.
When I think about the NNBA Conference, I’m not promising a million-dollar idea.
You may not even make back your investment this year.
But I do believe showing up will start to change you.
Even clicking “Register Now” shifts something inside you.
I know because that’s what happened to me.
Five years ago, I was sitting in my closet, freshly fired, terrified, watching the NNBA Conference virtually during COVID.
I had just started my business.
No income for 40 days.
No roadmap.
I didn’t know what would happen—but I knew I couldn’t go back.
That single decision to show up gave me clarity, hope, and lifelong connections that changed everything.
Fast-forward to today: June 25th, 2025.
I’ve just had my first six-figure revenue month.
I’m leading two companies with full teams of employees and contractors moving the mission forward.
And honestly? I’m still amazed. I never thought it was possible.
But I kept showing up—one blind “yes” at a time.
And I don’t know what your return will be.
But I do know this:
You’ll never find out if you don’t show up.
I even asked South Point to extend the room block, because maybe you needed one more day to say yes to your future.
If that’s you, I want to see you there:
You won’t be alone—we’ll be right there with you.
Have questions for me? Just reply to this email. (Seriously!)
Until the next yes,
Nena
