Subject: Friend What I've been busy with in the past 9 days

Assalamu alaykum Friend

Allaahu Akbar, Allaahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar,
Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah, Allaahu Akbar, Allaahu Akbar, wa lil-Laahil-Hamd

(Allaah is Most Great, Allaah is Most Great, there is no god but Allaah, Allaah is Most Great, Allaah is Most Great, and to Allaah be praise)

I hope you're doing well insha Allah. We are on day 9 of the blessed 10 days of Dhul Hijjah. Today is the day of Arafat, and I am sure you are making the most of it.

I wanted to quickly share with you what I've been busy with in these 10 days. I have been blessed to be working with the NZF team in assisting 73 cases over the past 8 days. On average, that is 8 people who are in need of some form of assistance, every single day, right here in Australia!

Unknown to you Friend, you have also been gaining the reward of assisting these people through your Zakat & Sadaqah that you have paid to NZF! Allaahu Akbar! I pray that Allah accepts and multiplies your rewards. Ameen.

If you participated in the NZF #DhulHijjahChallenge, we raised over $1,500 in the past week, and we have been distributing all of these funds to people in need immediately so they too can benefit in these blessed days. Thank you for your support!

Many people continue to ask me what types of people we assist here in Australia and I wanted to share the stories of 4 people, that we assisted just in the last week, with varying reasons of needing assistance. Their stories are below. I hope this helps give you some more insight into the work we do.

  • Farah's story - An international student who all of a sudden found herself stranded with no money.

  • Halifa's story - Tested by Allah through loss of her husband, an illness and a disabled child.

  • Raees' story - An Asylum Seeker who was now stuck between a rock and a hard place.

  • Aisha's story - A victim of domestic violence, not once but twice

Click here to read their stories, and please remember them and thousands of others in similar situations in your dua on this special day.

Friend On this day of Arafat, I encourage you to make a small extra donation to support the work we do. However small it is, Allah will multiply your rewards on this blessed day and it will go a long way in supporting our work so we can continue assisting people like Farah, Halifa, Raees and Aisha.

As you might be aware already, all donations to NZF are tax deductible.

JazaakAllah Khair for your continued support. Please keep us in your dua on this blessed day. Increase in dua for forgiveness and let us all keep our tongues moist with the Takbir and the remembrance of Allah.

Please reply to this email if you have any questions, comments or feedback.
