Subject: Friend Prepare now, don’t wait for Ramadan

Assalamu Alaykum Friend

SubhaanAllah, can you believe that Ramadan is less than a month away from us?

We all know how quickly this beautiful month passes by, and the best way to prepare for the

month of Ramadan is to start early. To help you in this journey, we’re bringing you two initiatives

this year that focuses on getting you on track with your Zakat so you can go help those in need

in our Muslim communities.

Rethink Your Zakat

You may have already seen a number of this initiative’s posters and advertisements in your cities. ‘Rethink Your Zakat’ is a new campaign that has been created to encourage you, our NZF family, to view Zakat from a fresh perspective as a beautiful form of worship that Allah has ordained with clear instructions which ultimately brings Barakah, growth and purity for your wealth and life in this world and the Hereafter insha Allah.

We have our intentions to help Muslims in need through our Zakat and Sadaqah donations, but it is also important to educate ourselves about the value of this act of worship - it all starts with you.

Zakat Tour

Zakat Tour workshops is an ongoing initiative we’ve brought back for this Ramadan because of its value and popularity in our communities. Each year, we work with various community organisations, groups, individuals and families to come together and educate their local circles about the effect of Zakat for each of us - in this world and the next insha Allah.

Many also use this opportunity to organise personalised sessions to help them learn about the specifics of Zakat eligibility and calculation through step-by-step instructions suited to their needs.

So make sure to book your Zakat Tour session early - we have limited spots available!

Missed last month’ Real Talk episode?

Have we done enough to address and meet the challenges they experience as Deaf Muslims in communities all over Australia? Watch this amazing and profound episode as our panelists Sr Raian Hoblos (Profoundly Deaf) and Br Ayman Khoder (Hard of Hearing) engage with us in this critical discussion for a long-overdue topic.

We'd love to hear back from you and know your thoughts on this initiative. Please feel free to

reply back to this email and let’s discuss some great ideas together.

We ask for Allah جل جلاله to place barakah in our collective efforts.

Wasalaam,

The NZF Team
