Zakat is not and should not be just a short term aid to help someone in difficulty out of their immediate need.

Zakat is a system to uplift entire communities, either in the short term or the long term.

At NZF, we believe Education is one of the most poweful tools to end the cycle of poverty.
Did you know that since 2014, your Zakat has assisted over 3,800 children getting back to school and increasing their education both in the secular system as well as in weekend Islamic schools! So far we have invested $753,000 of Zakat in education and strongly believe that this is a means to strengthen our future generations here in Australia.

We just finished up our 2019 grants for both our Back to School and Weekend Islamic Schools program recently Alhamdulillah. To find out more about these, as well as our other initiatives visit our Facebook page.
