It's time for our National Zakat Summit and this time it will held in Melbourne insha Allah.
Have you ever wondered how Zakat is capable of touching not only the lives of the needy but rather the entire community?
Zakat is NOT just a charity for the rich, and a means of livelihood for the needy.
Zakat is one of the ways to enable the local economy financially not only to the receivers but also small businesses and individuals within the community by creating a framework to increase business transactions.
As an example, in Indonesia, Dompet Dhuafa, created new opportunities and employment through efficient Zakat management.
Ultimately, as a Zakat Foundation, our goal is not collecting and distributing as much Zakat as possible.
Our goal is to transform Zakat receivers to Zakat payers as a community.
