Subject: This is Ramia's story. But I often wonder if we can play a bigger role Friend?

Assalamualaikum Friend

Ramia's house burnt down overnight. While she and her kids were able to move to their parents house, Ramia, a single mum now needed to figure out the next steps in her life.

She reached out to NZF for assistance.

The bigger question Friend, is what is our part in this? Is it one that is limited purely to a financial transaction of utilizing local Zakat to assist people such as Ramia?

No, it should be much bigger than that.

Ofcourse, through local Zakat, Alhamdulillah we were able to assist Ramia.

However, we need to work towards empowering our community as a whole, so it provides a blanket of security & hope to anyone who might fall into unfortunate circumstances. This could be us or our children tomorrow and when that happens, we want them to feel secure that the community around them will step up and look after them.

This Ramadan, support us on our mission by paying your Zakat locally. If you have already done so, please consider donating Sadaqah to cover our costs, or a monthly Sadaqah donation, as a means of ongoing benefit to both NZF and rewards for yourself.

You can pay on our website here

Jazaak Allah Khair for your support and if you have any questions, as always please reply to this email.
