Recounting a tremendous story of cancer and advocacy

Assalamu Alaykum Friend,

Every step in the fight against cancer requires great courage, pain, and resilience.

It’s a path many brave warriors in our Muslim community have walked, emerging as beacons of hope for others navigating their own challenging journeys.

In our next episode of Real Talk, we talk to such heroes in our community.

Real Talk | Fighting Cancer: Pain, Treatment and Trials

Premiering on Facebook, YouTube and Instagram this Wednesday 8th of November, 7:30 PM, Sydney time

In this episode, we talk to sisters Nadine El-Kabbout and Dr Rayan Moussa.

Sr Nadine, a cancer survivor, is also an advocate for culturally and spiritually appropriate health services, helping ensure Muslim families don’t face the same challenges she did while trying to navigate the health system.

Dr Rayan Moussa is a cancer researcher at UTS making significant strides in the health sector, helping improve health outcomes for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, including for those struggling with cancer.

Join us for a riveting discussion on the issues of cancer, cancer recovery and advocacy.
