Subject: A blessed opportunity today and big news for Melbourne!

Don't forget to set up Daily Sadaqah if you haven't already!

By the will of Allah and the rush for reward that our community is so renowned for, we've seen a strong response to our Daily Sadaqah option. Jazakumullah khayr if you've been one of those that have taken part.

Several people have asked us about whether they can do "Weekly" options instead. The short answer? Yes! Alhamdulillah you can, whether just for the month of Ramadan or even continuing afterwards.

Friend Jumuah is an incredibly blessed day, all the more so in this month of immense mercy and blessings. This Ramadan, make the most of this blessed day in this blessed month, and set up weekly giving for every Friday.

As the Prophet (PBUH) said, “Take up good deeds only as much as you are able, for the best deeds are those done regularly even if they are few.” (Sunan Ibn Majah)

You can set up Weekly giving by clicking below or above, insha Allah!

You can, of course, still set up Daily Sadaqah as well insha Allah, and we're seeing many people take this option up this year. May Allah reward you if you've done so. Click below and set it up in 2 simple steps if you haven't so far.

How we help Orphans in our community through your Zakat and Sadaqah

Friend In our discussions with people in the community, one of the most common points of interest is who and how we help as a result of people's Zakat and Sadaqah being given to NZF.

One part of our community that we're especially passionate about transforming is our orphans.

Orphans are among the most vulnerable members of our community: children left either without both parents or without their father (as Islam defines them).

Whether they are coming from a refugee background (as many of our recipients are) or are from our local community, they often become locked into cycles of poverty and lack of opportunity.

Through our case workers, we assess the cases of orphans in our network and support them through both financial support and services with our wide network of service partners. They help orphans set up for life by giving them key opportunities they wouldn't otherwise have.

This Ramadan, as you calculate and consider your Zakat, remember that your Zakat can help make a transformative difference to the lives of our most vulnerable right here in our community.
