Hello everyone,
We hope you are all well.
The purpose of this communication is to update you on the 2018 NOWS Marketing and Promotion Campaign we will be using to promote your On-water courses following NOWS.
We decided to start the campaign on May 14 (rather than April 15) and let it run for 45 days through June 30, 2018. This will provide additional time for preparing the marketing materials as well as better line up with Safe Boating week taking place immediately following the launch date. It will also give course providers a little more time to complete their NOWS Self-Assessment and Declaration activities discussed during the conferences.
We encourage you to take advantage of this free national marketing and promotion of on-water skills-based courses. For your information, the electronic marketing campaign will include the following components: - A NOWS Press Release that describes the completion of the four American National Standards and boating instruction materials
- A 1-minute NOWS Promo Video marketing courses that display the NOWS logo
- Banner Ads by domain that will appear in Boating, Cruising World and Sailing World websites, as well as Paddle.com. They will also appear on each title’s Facebook page with a native link to the promo video
- 500-word articles tailored to each domain that will also appear in the same digital magazines and websites, and
- A custom electronic newsletter that provides additional tailored information about NOWS.
Along with asking prospective students to choose courses displaying the NOWS logo, we will also be listing on a dedicated website page courses that have been self-assessed and declared by their providers as in compliance with NOWS. If you would like your course listed, please let us know when your Self-Assessment and Declaration are complete and we will post it on the website.
If you know of any course provider that would benefit from our marketing activities, please let them know about the Self-Assessment and Declaration materials we shared with you and that are freely available at www.usnows.org.
Thank you again for your work to help make our nation’s waterways safer and more enjoyable for our nation’s boaters.
Best regards,
Brian
