Day 32 - Finances
Organise Your Receipts
Does the idea of doing your tax make you shudder, because of the haphazard way that you keep your receipts? If it feels like a mountain that you have to scale each year, do something differently now to make it easier.

Get Into Action!
  1. If you don’t already have one, create an e-folder for your tax receipts.

  2. Spend 15 minutes scanning any existing receipts and records for the current Financial Year and saving them into the folder. Get into the habit of doing this weekly, and tax time will be much less convoluted.
Recommended Resource
Here’s a comprehensive list of how to organise your financial documents in a filing cabinet.
Scan It!

Download a scanning app for your smartphone if you have one. ‘Camscanner’ is a good free one (for both iPhones and Android). So is TurboScan...and there are many others. Scan and email photos and documents straight from the app.

"A large part of getting organised is learning to act from a place of self-esteem; knowing what we want and don’t want to do, knowing what we can and can’t do, and taking good care of ourselves"
