Subject: Why most protein shake recipes are AWFUL for your digestion...

First off, here's my favorite protein shake recipe...

Step 1 - dump a scoop of protein powder in a glass
Step 2 - add water
Step 3 - stir
Step 4 - drink

That's it.

Here's the FIRST reason why most protein shake recipes are AWFUL for
your digestion
...

The digestive enzymes required to digest protein are different than the ones
required to digest fruit...

...and what do you think most people pile into their protein drink recipes?

You guessed it...fruit.

When your stomach tries to digest fruit and protein at the same time, neither
one gets the digestive environment it needs for optimal processing and incomplete
digestion is definitely not a comfortable situation (for you or anybody else in the
room, if you know what I mean).

The SECOND problem with most protein shake recipes is the addition of milk.

Now obviously, if you're lactose-intolerant, you're not going to use milk anyway.
Even if you're not, adding milk into your protein shake will complicate the
digestive process, especially if you're taking it post-workout when you want to
get the protein into your system FAST.

To be digested, milk is curdled in the stomach then digested slowly, trickling
out into your intestinal tract in small amounts. That's fine for long-term, but if
you want to get it into your system fast, you should stay far away from milk as
a medium for your protein drinks.

Put these two digestive issues together and you'll see the LAST thing you want
to do is add a bunch of fruit and milk to your protein shake, which is what most
smoothie recipes are based on.

The real trick is to find a protein powder that tastes good up front so
you don't have to put a whole bunch of other stuff in it to kill the taste.

If you got my email yesterday about the new protein powder that everybody is
talking about (BioTrust Low Carb), two of the best features of it are...

1. Taste
...it's excellent on it's own so you don't have to add all that fruit and
milk to make it drinkable.

2. Digestibility...they've added a protein-specific digestive enzyme to the
formula to maximize the absorption of the protein.

So basically, forget all the protein smoothie recipes. You don't need them and
they can actually interfere with digestion. This protein powder is such high quality
that all that other stuff in the recipes will really just get in the way.

I'm not going to give you a hypey hard-sell for the stuff...it's not going to magically
solve all your nutrition and training problems overnight.

What it IS is very high quality protein...and the introductory deal
they've got going on it right now is EXTREMELY good for the degree
of quality you're getting:

1. If you're in the US or Canada, you'll get FREE SHIPPING on your entire order
(international orders are half-price shipping, just fyi).

2. When you buy 2 containers, you'll get a 3rd container of BioTrust Low Carb for
FREE (or if you buy 4, you'll get 2 for free).

3. Joel is also going to GIVE you a free copy of his new book, The 7 Day Rapid Fat
Loss Diet, which shows you how you can lose up to TEN pounds in just 7 short
days (and keep it off) with some brand new cutting-edge strategies.

I'm actually going to go order 6 tubs of this myself right now. I really like the stuff.
