Dear Soccer Community,
First and foremost I hope that everyone’s family is well. I want to say THANK YOU to all the coaches, players, referees, and parents that are making noticeable efforts to follow social distancing and mask recommendations during games at MRSC. Thank you, it makes a real difference. We are very fortunate to have soccer back on the fields and it will take all of our cooperation and willingness for soccer to continue, not only at MRSC but in Shelby County.
Here are the social distancing and mask protocols that should be followed at MRSC. Please share it with other parents on your team.
Do I have to wear a face mask? / Do I have to social distance? Current state and county regulations call for masks or cloth face coverings in public when close contact is unavoidable. While these regulations are in place, Individuals should wear masks or cloth face coverings to enter any buildings including bathrooms. A face covering is not required by Shelby County while outdoors in public spaces unless maintaining a physical distance of 6ft from persons who are not the same household. However, MRSC strongly encourages parents and spectators to wear a face covering as much as possible. On the sidelines, parents/spectators should be 12ft apart and wear a face-covering when the likelihood of increased vocalization such as shouting, cheering, and were loud speech will occur. Family units/groups may sit together. Face coverings are not a substitute for social distancing. Even if wearing a face covering, persons should practice appropriate social distancing, stay 6ft apart, clean their hands frequently, and take other everyday preventive actions as provided for in the current Shelby County Health Directive. Substitutes on the sideline should be 6ft apart and wear a face mask. All team benches have been removed from the sidelines. Players should bring their own chairs.
Regards
Simon
