Dear Soccer Families,
I hope everyone is well.
I am in need of one more host family to host 2 players from the Portsmouth FC Academy (UK). There are 3 teams traveling from England/Ireland to play in the John Talley Showcase on March 20-22, 2020. Each year for the past 16+ years we have been fortunate enough to have wonderful foreign players visit Memphis, experience the culture, and play soccer with their dream of possibly getting a soccer scholarship. I have managed to house all but 2 players so far!!
Dates: March 3/16 - 3/25
We are looking for families that have children that play in the Memphis soccer community with one of the local clubs. Families would provide housing, some transportation back and forth to MRSC, and meals (we provide a $50 gift card to help also). The players always stay as pair or more.
This can be a wonderful cultural experience for your family especially for your children. The players will often spend time demonstrating and working on soccer skills with your children as well as providing a wealth of information about their country and culture. Please help us assist these players, we would like their stay in Memphis to be as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, and there is no better way than to stay with soccer family from Memphis!
