Dear Soccer Community,
There is a chance of thunderstorms developing over Shelby County this evening. This could directly effecting games at MRSC between 6pm and 9pm tonight.
The Mike Rose Soccer Complex has a "Thor Guard Lightning Prediction System" This system warns of the possibility of lightning within a two mile radius of the Complex.
You will be warned by a one 15 second blast of the horn signaling suspension of activities and a strobe light will begin flashing and remain flashing until safe conditions return. You should immediately seek an appropriate, safe shelter. The most logical spot is the car. You may resume activities only after three 5 second blast of the horn are sounded and the strobe light stops flashing. Again, the system only sends out the all clear when safe conditions return. The strobe light and horn are located on the stadium building (stadium parking lot side) and on the well house by the maintenance building. Also, there are posters attached to the bathrooms for public knowledge. If you remain outdoors after the warning is issued, you do so at your own risk. The system is active from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m, 7 days a week.
The MRSC Security Guard will also directly notify the referees for each field if the Thor Guard System has signaled suspension of activities. At this time the current games and remaining games will be on at the Referees Discretion. If the the second set of games are canceled the MRSC field conditions line will be updated immediately (901) 751 4223 ext 9
Thank you
