Hi Friend,

Are you an optimist or a pessimist?

Don't answer immediately but spend a minute or two thinking about
this before you answer. If you are a pessimist, then perhaps you
believe you are being realistic when you think this way..

Realistic is good but focusing on the negative holds you back for
sure, don't you agree?

Want to be more optimistic? This is possible if you let go first
of your resistance. What do I mean?

Well, pessimists, (I used to be one a long time ago), often say
that optimists pretend that everything is great and ignore
reality. That is resistance.

It is necessary to be a realist and be prepared for plan B if
things don't work out. That is sensible, but it's a question of
balance. Optimists choose to focus on the good, on the positive
rather than on the negative.

You have that choice every day, every minute...

So let go of your resistance if you find yourself refusing to be
an optimist. Open yourself up to what is good now and what went
well rather than what went wrong.

If you are a bit of both optimist and pessimist and you want to
be more optimistic then try harder to see the positive even when
you don't want to.

Ask yourself questions that will change your thinking like:

"What is good in my life?"
"What is working now?"
"What good things happened to me today?"

Questions like these need positive answers and a positive mind is
one that is happier and more open to joy.
