Hi,
Last Sunday I asked you one question:
What's one thing you've been preparing for that you could just start — imperfectly, today?
I wasn't sure how many people would reply. More did than I expected.
One reader said two things: working on a plot of land she owns, and applying for her MSc. Both sitting there waiting.
Someone else said simply: farming.
Another person said they need to start speaking English in real situations — not studying more, just using it.
I've been thinking about those three answers all week.
A plot of land. A postgraduate degree. Farming. Speaking a language in the real world.
None of these are small things. And yet what's stopping each of these people isn't ability or resources or time. It's the same thing that stops most of us — the gap between knowing what we want to do and deciding that today is the day to begin.
What I find interesting is that none of them said they didn't know what they wanted. They knew exactly. The clarity was there. What was missing was the permission to start before feeling fully ready.
That's the real confidence problem for most people. Not "I don't know what I want" but "I know what I want and I keep not starting it."
If that's you — you're in good company.
The question this week is the same as last week, but one step further:
If you were going to start that thing — the one you've been preparing for — what would the very first small step actually be? Not the plan. Not the preparation. The first real action.
Hit reply and tell me.
Karl
