Last month, I stared at an email draft for nearly an hour.
Cursor blinking.
Coffee going cold. It was supposed to be a simple send — one click, done. But suddenly every doubt marched in:
“Who am I trying to impress?”
“What if it flops?”
“You’re not ready.” My confidence didn’t vanish all at once. It leaked away from me, like air from a small puncture you can’t see. That leak was oozing from every pore in my body. After a few deep breaths, I realized — I was waiting to feel confident before I acted.
That’s backward. So I hit send. Somewhere between that click and the first reply, the confidence caught up.
Lesson: Confidence doesn’t walk ahead of you — it follows your footsteps. Every time you move through fear, you rebuild self‑trust. That moment reminded me why so many of us stall: our minds don’t need more motivation, they need permission to act. If you’ve found yourself overthinking or doubting lately, I wrote a short reflection on how to shift that pattern using a simple focus exercise. It’s a 3‑minute read — and it leads you straight into a calming audio session I personally recommend (it’s part of the Hypnosis Downloads library). 👉

When’s the last time fear almost talked you out of something important?
Reply with one word — I’ll send you one line you can use next time doubt shows up. — With respect and appreciation,
