Subject:Â đź’ˇSomething's changing (and it's overdue)
Hey,
I've been in the self-help world for over 20 years.
I've written the posts. Sent the newsletters. Shared the quotes. And if I'm being honest with you — a lot of it was exactly the kind of thing I'd roll my eyes at today.
"Believe in yourself." "Take the leap." "Your only limit is your mindset."
Not lies, exactly. But not the whole truth either. And the self-help industry has made billions packaging that half-truth into books, courses, and weekend seminars that leave you feeling inspired for about 72 hours.
I'm done with that version of this.
This newsletter is called **The Long Game** — and I'm writing it as someone who's spent two decades inside the self-help machine and come out the other side with a very different view.
No guru energy. No transformation promises. No pretending I have it all figured out.
Just honest, occasionally uncomfortable observations about what actually helps people change — slowly, messily, over time. The anti-guru approach, if you want to call it that.
Once a week, maybe on Sundays. Short enough to read with your coffee. Real enough to actually be worth it.
I'm glad you're still here. Let's do this differently.
— Karl
*P.S. Hit reply and tell me one thing you're struggling with right now — work, mindset, habits, anything. I read every reply and it helps me write things that actually matter to you.*
