August 16 is Assemblies of God Disability Awareness Sunday—an opportunity for your church to take intentional steps toward making the Gospel accessible to people of all abilities.

A Disability Awareness Sunday can transform a church's good intentions into genuine ministry. It serves as a launch point for disability ministry by combining statistics with personal stories to highlight the need and impact.

Practical steps include conducting accessibility audits, asking mobility and sensory questions, and viewing individuals with disabilities as gifted disciples. Emphasize Jesus' care for individuals, integrate them into worship, and ground your efforts in disability theology and Scripture to foster a true community.
