She equipped Marda with the "Alive in Five" (Large Print & Braille Booklet, picture above). Marda, in turn, began to share her faith, leading a family member to Christ and empowered by STM's resources, she also started ministering to her neighbor along with others.
When Marda expressed a desire to attend church, Nettamara assisted her in finding a church in her local community that provided transportation.
During a later conversation, Marda asked, "What's a worship team?" The pastor, discovering Marda's piano skills, had suggested she join the team. Nettamara patiently explained church terminology, bridging the gap for someone entirely new to the church experience.
Fast forward a few months and another phone call has Marda joyfully declaring, "I have a new life in Christ! I have friends at church, I've experienced healing from my past, and I'm eagerly anticipating my baptism!" God had been continuing to work in her life.
And the latest outreach from STM Blind Services... has Marda receiving 20 "Alive in Five" evangelistic tools (Braille & Large Print), along with audio versions of the Adult Sunday School Curriculum. She is using these in her Texas support group for individuals who are blind. |
