| | THE IOWA CAUCUSES
With the Iowa caucuses just around the corner we would like to take this opportunity to salute the people of Iowa as they go to the polls. Described in the press as the Evangelical Vote it is clear the the roots of conservative values run deep. The photo above "Evangelical Vote - Iowa 1937" illustrates this no nonsense belief system among conservative Iowans. The photo below, "Iowa Farm Couple" was taken in 1939. The economic hardships endured as a result of the Great Depression should not be underestimated. The memory of hard times runs deep and remains a factor in today's body politic.
