I do not find the photo above funny. I do not find it amusing. I find it disturbing, and after all that is the whole point of photojournalism to make the injustice visible as Gandhi would have argued. We call this photo "What's Goin' On?"; Kent, Connecticut (1933). Scene taken of a road crew as we do not know the particulars of this situation. Below is "The Cathouse"; U. S. c.1930. Writing on what appears to be a toilet seat says "cash or credit". Also written although not clear is a telephone number and address. Lipstick marks on the man's cheeks seem to seal the deal.
