TEXANS

The hardscrabble life of Texans in the early years of the 20th Century.  "Texas - 1917".  An appreciation of the struggle for survival in Texas may explain current attitudes in the state. We recommend that a search for similar images begin with our Americana gallery.
Four children at the "Railroad Depot" at Standart, Texas (August 1915).  The town exists today only as a ghost town, one of many scattered throughout the western United States.  These images are from our Places collection.
