It has been said that a strong photo needs to tell a story. If all that you see in these photos are two, old men one black one white sitting in chairs then you need to set your mind free. Clearly, these men, of roughly the same age, have a lifetime of experiences to tell us. As portraits the photos make strong statements. Above is a photo that we call "Man in a Wicker Chair"; U. S. c.1941. Below we call this Texas photo "San Antonio - c.1936". Both images can be found in our People collection along with hundreds more.
