AMERICAN DREAM COLLECTION

An important sub-collection of DPI's Americana gallery is what we call the American Dream. Images in the American Dream reflect the aspirations for a life filled with hope and promise in the United States. Above is an image we call "Dreamers", New Jersey (September 4, 1947). No connection to the Dream Act please. Based on the evidence in this photo and our gut feelings we assess that this couple are recent arrivals from Europe and the ashes of World War II.  Below is "Jumping Rope"; New York City (May 1, 1936). During the height of the Great Depression these children enjoy a simple pastime. Hope for a brighter future. License is based on usage. Please use DPI's "add to cart" to calculate your final cost. Follow us on YouTube for an overview of DPI, licensing and more.
