This is Dan. I wanted to share some quick but important updates.
Many have asked where Joel has been since he hasn't published any new videos as of late. I had a great conversation with him this morning. He plans on making some more videos very soon. He said there is a lot of content and topics to discuss, so definitely keep checking your emails for updates and notifications.
Because of demand, schedule, and availability, as of June 1st the cost of working directly with Joel, one-on-one, will be increasing by $1,000. I know that is unwelcome news for many, but honestly, the continued growing demand for Joel coupled with his quality of work makes the increase necessary.
Honestly, you would not believe the volume of emails we receive each week from damaged business owners who fall prey to what we call the "pollyanna peddlers" pushing all the happy talk on how to "Start your NEMT business with no money down" or "Find more brokers!" Their advice is destroying providers.
Joel talked about it in previous videos, but the sad biproduct is we are left trying to pick up the broken pieces which complicates and bogs down our workload. This is why we need to increase the cost of one-on-one as of June 1st.
In one of his videos, Joel talked about our client-providers who fell prey to the dingbat advice. She purchased the wrong vehicles and racked up almost $45,000 in unpaid invoices with Modivcare. Joel told me this morning that the second vehicle has been liquidated and they settled with Modivcare for just under $37,000. With the help of Joel, they are now working to start over and do it the right way.
Although this situation might sound like a victory, Joel said of the money she was generating by Modivcare, her ROI was only 8%. That is ridiculous! That would be only $3,600 if she collected the full $45,000. When you further consider all of the effort and work required to chase that money, then only collect $37,000, it is a huge loss. In short, she didn't just work for free, she literally paid to work for Modivcare.
No one goes into business with the intention of losing, so please don't fall prey to the "pollyanna peddlers." If you are serious about moving forward, shoot us an email with any questions.
