Subject: Some of you need to hear this ....

Hello to all our Million Dollar peeps!  As always, I hope this message finds you all doing well, and business is booming!

In going through various messages and emails from new client-providers, I just have to play it straight and "keep it real" with all of you.

For some of you, this message might be a bitter pills to swallow, but it's better to correct the mistakes now versus delaying and having to resolve even bigger problems in the future.

In no particular order:

1. STOP wasting your money with the delusion that there's a "national accreditation" that somehow bolsters or gives credibility to your drivers and your business.  PLEASE, for the love of God, STOP buying into the delusion!

There's so much fragmentation in the NEMT and home care industries, rules and regulations are different states, and in some states by county, that there's NO SUCH THING AS A "NATIONAL ACCREDITATION!"

Over all these years, all the contracts and agreements, all the acquisitions we've been a part of, NOT ONE, NOT A SINGLE PERSON in ANY CAPACITY ever asked about or gave a $!@# about drivers having a supposed "National Accreditation."

I don't care how much you pay annually, how many stickers you put on your vehicles, how much you brag about your "accreditation," NOT ONE SINGLE Administrator, Executive Director, or any prospective buyers care.  Consider it a money-making hoax that you've fallen victim to because, essentially, that's what it equates to - a feel good hoax that does NOT in any way shape or form add to your top or bottom line.  If anything, it only detracts from your bottom line.

I know, I know, I'm an A-hole for mentioning the obvious, but for those you who drank the Kool Aid, ask yourself, has you top and bottom line increased?  If not, then what's the point?

2. Especially if you're a newbie, PLEASE, for the LOVE OF GOD, STOP with the ridiculous names such as "Global Transportation Solutions" or "International Transportation Solutions" - all while you have a single vehicle and you're a party of one!

You're not fooling anyone.  If anything, you lose credibility with any facilities your attempt to serve.  Even brokers will laugh at you, and they know they have a "sucker" on the line who they can grind out for pennies on the dollar.

Trust me, I'm NOT trying to squash anyone's visions of grandeur, but you're hard to take serious when you claim your "Global" or "International" and you're starting your business with a used Camry and you're the operator.

THE NAME OF YOUR BUSINESS MATTERS!  YOUR LOGO MATTERS!  YOUR WEBSITE MATTERS!  YOUR MARKETING MATERIAL MATTERS!  YOUR MESSAGING MATTERS!  YOUR BRAND MATTERS!

STOP looking and acting ghetto fabulous!

3. If you're going to start your business (or anything, really), GO ALL IN, and be SERIOUSLY committed!

I know people get upset when I say this, but if you're looking for a part-time gig, go drive for Uber or Lyft - Seriously!  I don't think I can be any more honest, sincere, or transparent.  You DON'T need my help or that of my team if you're just looking for a part-time gig - a "side hustle.".

If you're serious, and you're committed to going ALL IN, understand, as I've been saying it for years, the days are numbered for those of you who only provide ambulatory services.  Your JOB that you're creating for yourself, because that's really what it is, a job, it's going to be eradicated.  It's only a matter of time.

Yes, those of you who operate in a more rural area you might have more time, a slower "burn," but it doesn't change the fact that your days are numbered.

You need real capacity to go after "Top Tier Targets," and build real relationships.  That's where the real money is along with the longevity of the industry.

I'm wrong?!  (SMH).  OK, do a little test for yourself.

How many government subsidized curb-to-curb services operate in your area?  You know, the minibuses with the miserable looking drivers who are just punching a time clock to get through the next 40 years so they can retire and get the hell outta Dodge?

How many rideshare services operate in your area - even undercutting the slappy pappy cabbies?  Like I shared in some recent videos, if you compete with these slappies, you become a .......... (fill in the blank).

4. In the same spirit and level of transparency as my previous point, if all you plan on doing is signing up with brokers and operating as a sheep, again, you DON'T need my help or that of my team.

The brokers and their designated points of contact will be your "Master and Commander" - especially if you're starting with your used Camry and your company names starts with "Global" or "International."

If all you want is to serve brokers, you don't need to listen to us, nor do you need to be creative and push the boundaries of your God-given talents.  Just accept your lot in life and follow their commands.

5. If you've happily paid $80k, $90k, $100k or any other insanely foolish amount for a vehicle (NO, I'M NOT KIDDING, people actually pay full price for vehicles to start!!) because you think you're going to be the "limo business of the NEMT industry" or because you think the salesman at Mobility Works is more NEMT savvy than us, BUT, BUT, BUT you complain about the cost of our help ..... wait for it ...... wait for it .....WE CAN'T HELP YOU!!

Follow the FREE advice on Fakebook and listen to all associated dingbats.

It never ceases to amaze me how people will attempt to count other people's money versus focusing on the amount of money they're making and wasting!

Some people are more concerned about how much money I make versus how much YOU can make, save, invest, and compound!  SMH  It's crazy.  It's failed priorities and misapplied calculation.

I know, I know, my tone is a bit salty on this Wednesday morning and I don't sound like Tony Robbins giving a motivational speech of hope and get-rich-quick fantasy, but sorry, that's just not my gig.

As I always say, my job is NOT to tell you what you want to hear but to tell you what you NEED to hear because it's time tested and proven to work - bottom line!

I'm NOT going to chase you, and I'm certainly NOT going "rubber stamp" or cosign whatever it is that you're doing.  If you're jacked up, not operating effectively, I'm going to call it out so we can change course ASAP.

Further, if you're going to hide behind your desk, don't complain because your phone doesn't ring.

If you're scared to introduce yourself, your business, because you don't like to network and sell your business, then you're not an entrepreneur and you should be working in a cubical or on an assembly line.

If you're going to make excuses, or focus on my "tone" versus the actual message, then you're only failing yourself.  Sorry, we don't hand out participation trophies.

NO ONE is going to save you other than YOU.

NO ONE is going to invest in you, especially when they see you don't even believe in yourself - that you don't GO ALL IN on YOU.

NO ONE is going to build and scale your business other than YOU.

Again, salty, i know, but if you focus in on and implement the actual message, your bank account will thank me later!

See you at the Top!
