How to Build a Million Dollar Medical Transportation Company

Hello to everyone within the Million Dollar Transportation Community!  As
always, I hope that this message finds you all doing well and that business
is booming!

I recently sent you an email entitled "I would like to share this with you..."
The basic premise was preparing your for future success in the New Year.

I received some great responses and even spoke to handful of you today.
However, I did receive some great, in depth feedback from an anonymous
person that responded with the following:

"Same shit, different toilet, you sing the same song every year.  There is
only so much you can do to increase this business."

I haven't received a derogatory email in quite some time so when I do, it
definitely makes me smile!  The funny thing is, if I'm singing the same song
I don't know who is more foolish, me for singing it or this anonymous person
for continued listening!

Regardless, the reason why I share this foul mouthed comment with you is
for a few reasons as follows:

1. For as long as we are a civilized society, the need for transportation is
NEVER going to go away.  In fact, especially with the growing elderly
population, the demand is only going to continue to increase.

So it doesn't matter what the circumstances are, rain or shine, increase gas
prices or reduced operating expenses, the need for transportation is NEVER
going to go away.  It's only going to increase.

2. With the increased demand, it is up to us as entrepreneurs to build and
cultivate solutions, bottom line.  I know there are entrepreneurs in a wide
variety of industries that find every excuse, road block and barriers of why
they can't achieve success.

But again, it is our responsibility as entrepreneurs to take action, think of
creative solutions, and master our operational management.  Does this
mean that it is going to be easy?  Heck no!  Being an entrepreneur can be
difficult and brings many new challenges that an employee is not burdened.

3. Especially in a troubled economy, it is all the more important that you do
everything to remain efficient as possible.  This means restructure your daily
operation so that you're not wasteful in labor costs or other associated
resources.

This also means that we have to calculate and fine tune our finances so
that we remain profitable.  If there are transports that are not profitable, we
simply don't do it!  And if that means we have to consolidate or restructure
our business, then that is what we as entrepreneurs have to do!

4.  I talk about goal setting and taking action, but seriously ask yourself if
you are really positioning yourself and taking action for new success.

When was the last time you met with a local hospital and further explained
and literally showed them on paper how much money you could save them
by using your NEMT service versus an ambulance for ER discharges?

When was the last time you visited a local nursing facility or senior center
and explained the opportunities to use your service for group outings?

How have you expanded your service in general?  The demand for
transportation is increasing universally.  What have you done creatively to
keep your vehicles moving even during off-peak hours to keep generating
money?

When was the last time you met with support services at your local
hospitals and explained your courier services?  How about airport
transportation?  How about meeting the transportation needs of local
businesses and hotels?  I know of some clients that started with NEMT
and now also own a separate interstate trucking company.

One client that invested in Carlos' courier ebook is doing $200 per day
working with a local Pinera Bread restaurant and has 3 more in her local
area that she is attempting to duplicate her same success.  And this is in
addition to her existing transports.

When was the last time you stepped out of your comfort zone and solicited
new prospect for business?

5. Our industry in general is very fragmented, hence the reason why I have
started the United Medical Transportation Providers Group, to lay the
foundation for national organization.

The fragmentation is an obstacle, but the growing deregulation that our
industry is experiencing is providing further opportunities.  But not if you have
the mind set that "There is only so much that you can do to increase
business."

Bottom line, we as entrepreneurs have to be creative, have initiative, and
willing to expand vertically as well as horizontally.

Regardless, the possibilities are endless.  And that is the beauty in having
the ability to work with so many of you from around the country.  In so doing,
I gain a macro perspective on how so many of you are achieving success
which further helps me in advising and working with others.

As I mentioned in my previous email, in the very near future I am going to
have some great information that is definitely going to help many of you.  A
great deal of time and effort has been invested into this resource and I know
of many of you like-minded entrepreneurs in particular who will love this.

But for others, if you consider me to be "singing the same old song," then I
suspect that it's just the same old crap, different toilet!

See you at the Top!
