Subject: Read! Read! Read!

Hello to everyone within the Million Dollar Transportation Community!
As always, I hope that this message finds you all doing well and that
business is booming!

I want to share with you the top three best questions I have received
since this weekend.  Some of your questions had multiple questions
so I extracted the top three.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One of My Personal Ole Time Favorites
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Why do you charge so much for your ebook [$97.95]?"

I always marvel at this question and instantly know that a person
with this type of prospective is someone I'm probably NOT going to
be doing business with.

Years ago I invested $4997 to attend a seminar in Syracuse, NY.
My business partner at the time thought I was crazy.

But the host of this seminar, a retired entrepreneur in his 60's, had,
at that time, a net worth valued at over 500 Million Dollars!  So why
did I pay so "much?"  Because I'm definitely willing to invest $5k to
learn in one weekend what took this man an entire lifetime to build
$500 Million!

Trust me.  My net worth is not $500 million - yet!

But I know this.  I started with one vehicle, lost at least $250k in
the early stages of my business making mistakes and trying to
figure it out without an ebook, DVD's, Seminar, MDT Business
Plan
and more.

Yet, by my third year I signed my area's biggest contract and
built a business that generated millions of dollars.  And I charge
ONLY $97.95?!

Sorry, but I have no regrets or remorse for charging a measly
$97 for a 320 page book that is a legitimate "road map!"

I obviously have a totally different perspective than the person that
complains about the price of my ebook.  And I suspect that if $97
is too over-the-top for them, I probably have a different type of bank
account too!

As I have always said, invest in continued learning from those
whom have achieved success!  Read books, listen to audio books,
attend seminars, etc.

You wouldn't follow daily habits of a hobo because you don't want
to be poor and homeless.  If you want to be successful, you do as
successful people do - bottom line!

A Very Common Question
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Our county provides a local wheelchair service that costs
only $3.00 per ride.  How are we supposed to compete
with this?"

Many counties do have a type of assisted shuttle service.  Here,
in my county, we have the BC Lift and they charge only $2.

So how do you compete?  The simple answer is - YOU DON'T!

The people that use this type of shuttle service transport are not
your target market!

These shuttle services typical ride along defined routes, pick
people up at the curb and return them to the curb. They typically
operate Monday-Friday during regular business hours.

Although wheelchair-bound, people who utilize such services
are very much independent and need very little assistance.

But what about people in nursing homes?  Whose taking them
to their appointments?  They can't meet a driver/bus outside at
the corner.  What about hospital discharges?  What about
stretcher-bound patients? What about people that can't handle
their own affairs?  What about weekend and after hours -
dialysis patients, etc.?

Again, do not fear or allow these types of low-charging services
to deter you.  They are not your competition as they serve an
entirely different market.

However, they can actually help you because their clientele will,
one day, be in need of your service!  And when they do, they
are already well familiar with assisted medical transportation
service.

A Commonly Misunderstood Scenario
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"What should we do while we are awaiting our Medicaid
Provider Number?"

Go forth and do great things!  Build your business!

As I mention, this is a highly misunderstood scenario.
Whether your area uses a broker or works directly with Social
Services for Medicaid, ALL business start out as Private Pay.

Once you're approved and licensed within your state to
operate as a NEMT business you're technically "in business."
You can begin transporting Private Pay clients, doing contract
work, etc.  You do not have to wait to receive a Medicaid
Provider Number or Broker ID to start transporting.

In fact, in some areas where there are brokers, you have to be
in business for two years before receiving your Broker ID.

The purpose of this is because they want to make sure you're
established and legitimate before they subcontract work to
you.  So it kind of make sense when they look at it from their
perspective.

For the first two-plus years of my business I operated without
a Medicaid Provider Number.  Why - because (1) I had no
clue I needed one, and (2) once I figured it out I went through
the enrollment process and worked to gather support to
ensure I was granted my Provider Number.

So do NOT fear that you do not have a Provider Number or
Broker ID! In fact, there are plenty of thriving businesses that
do zero Medicaid transports.  Why - because they make too
much money with private and/or because Medicaid
reimbursement in their area is not worth their while!

PS: No offense to anyone, but if a $97 ebook is too steep in
price for you, you're probably not ready to go into business
for yourself.  Starting a business, any business, does cost
money.  And in my opinion, if you can learn anything from
how to make money, how to save money, or even avoid
losing money, it's priceless!
