Hello to all our active and prospective brokers! As always, I hope this message finds you all doing well and business is booming!
First, we have ride-share leveraging people while big tech developed technology to replace the drivers. IE: Uber, Lyft, and other ambulatory-based and fixed-route transportation services will all be driverless in the coming years. Drivers served their purpose, a means to an end, and will soon be out of job. It's already happening in test markets.
Second, the same driverless car technology that's replacing ride-share drivers is also replacing freight and long haul drivers. Just another enhancement that's ridding labor costs and loosening restrictions.
Third, and once again, the same technology is being leveraged to replace small package delivery providers and eliminate labor costs.
One of the most common questions we're asked about our broker business model is if we do Amazon delivery and/or small package delivery. No, we don't. The profit margins simply aren't there and, regardless, the technology is quickly advancing to replace labor costs.
Why would we invest time, money, and effort in a business model that's only going to become obsolete? That's why we shake my head at these "entrepreneurs" who are investing hundreds of thousands of dollars to build a fleet of last-mile Amazon delivery vehicles/personnel.
