This is Dan. I can't resist, I have to share the enclosed email in hopes of saving this provider and others who are planning to do the same.
To underscore what Joel has said time and time again in his videos, if you are all in on brokers and you seriously think they are a viable "partner", you don't need Joel or any of us. Just sign up with a broker, comply with their requirements, wait for them to give you trips, and hope they are profitable enough to keep you in operation. It is the best, easiest, and laziest way to be in business.
I honestly have no idea how anyone can suggest they watch and study Joel's videos and can concluded starting an NEMT business by signing up with brokers is a good start. It just makes no sense, and is a great way to lose interest in this business once you get burned by Modivcare.
As Joel has said time and time again, there is nothing wrong with doing broker work as long as it is profitable, but especially if you are purchasing vehicles, equipment, insurance and hiring drivers, this is not the strategy to build a profitable NEMT business.
Please re-evaluate, re-study Joel's videos, and either make your reservation to work with Joel or work with us, "Team DDC" (Dawn, Charlie and me), so we can help you better understand the industry and better position you for success.
