Good evening, Everyone,
This is Dawn. I hope you are all having a great week.
A couple of important things I would like to share in no particular order:
1. If you are located in Illinois, Florida, or South Carolina, and you are interested in selling your business, please contact us as soon as possible. We have some very motivated buyers in many different states, but these three states in particular we have some buyers with "cash in hand" looking to move rather quickly depending on the strength of your business.
If you are interested in selling, please contact us and we will forward to you some basic questions to learn more and see if it is a good fit for our buyers.
2. I will try and be rather delicate with this topic because I know people are sensitive, but some of your websites and materials simply do not get the job done. I say this because we work with so many of you, so we see firsthand what does and does not work. I would strongly encourage you to consider using our UMTPG media team to build your website. They have built somewhere in the ballpark of 500 sites and that is just for NEMT, so they know what they are doing. Even if you are new, you need to at least present yourself as being experienced and knowledgeable while not being ridiculous or exaggerating.
Included with the creation of your website is the free marketing material that will mirror your website and the Executive Welcome Packet that Joel will be creating for you if you work with him one-on-one. For branding purposes, you need to have this "continuity in messaging" - where your vehicles, website, marketing materials, uniforms, and all publications look and carry the same brand and theme.
3. Karen wanted me to mention that the more you can have customers and facility staff submit trip details through your "Request a Trip" page, it helps boost your SEO performance because of the increased visitation and engagement with your site.
Please know that I am the furthest thing from an SEO expert, so I don't want to say anything that is incorrect, but in short, just know that she said the more people visit and engage your site the more it boosts your traffic.
Our media team is very good and they know their stuff, so if you don't yet have a site, or your existing site is less than first class, or your marketing materials are lacking, visit us at https://umtpg.org/umtpg-media to learn more and make your reservation.
4. In your business, you will get a lot of phone calls from people who are shopping on price. They will go with the cheapest possible service regardless of how good you are. They don't care about the value of quality, only the cheapest cost. When they realize the cost for your NEMT services is more expensive than a cheap taxi or rideshare, they complain, or even act shocked and offended. Some will ask "So this service isn't free?"
When people complain that you cost too much, let them go You will never convince them of your value, and even if they do use you now, know that when they find someone cheaper, they will drop you faster than a bullet.
As Joel always says, "Never hesitate to fire a bad prospect. Bad prospects always turn out to be bad customers."
I mention this because we encounter the exact same dynamic. People are shocked to learn that it costs money to work with Joel or us, "Team DDC." People get upset that we don't work for free or that Joel won't simply refer people to our prospective buyers. People get upset that we don't respond to message such as "Call me at (123) 456-7890."
Please understand, if we respond to every "tire kicker," it would be exceptionally redundant and slow our business to a crawl. We would never get anything done. My point is, we welcome the opportunity to work with those of you who are serious and who see the value in learning from someone like Joel, but if you are looking from "free," you will need to seek guidance elsewhere.
There are a lot of "experts" online, some who are literally AI creations, as in not even human! So be very careful of who you listen to and the advice you follow. We spend more time working to clean up the mess from "experts" who have never scaled or sold a profitable NEMT business or home care agency, it is just incredible. Free advice is usually worth what you pay for it.
