Subject: Licensee News and Updates from Joel

Hello to all our Active Licensees!  I hope you are all doing well, that you had a GREAT weekend, and you're continuing to make progress with your Broker Business.
I've had the pleasure of speaking with many of you over the last week or two and other's I've had to leave messages.  By all means, if we weren't able to connect and you have ANY questions, please make sure you reach out for help and support.  We're here to help you be successful so you can serve as an integral part of our national network.
In speaking with Marty this past week, he brought up a great point. If you will recall, Marty comes from a franchise background and is well versed in franchise policies, procedures, strategies and temperament. 
Marty explained how many franchisees will, after a period of time, stray from the proven strategies that helped make the franchise successful.  It's not until after they waste time, money, and effort do they return to the core principles of the franchise.
Although YATB is not a franchise, Marty underscored "the principles and path for success has already been proven.  All you have to do is follow the plan!"  
Needless to say, I couldn't agree more with Marty.  Therefore, if there is ONLY one thing you take away from this message let it be do NOT complicate this business!  Keep it simple and follow everything my Regional Directors and I share.  Use the same strategies of implementation.  I've already made all the mistakes and my numbers and policies underscore what works.    
Also, did you take my Big Lots challenge?  Did you do the test of visiting a local Big Lots, appearing interested in purchasing furniture, and asking about delivery options?  In speaking with Kathleen Camia the other day, she took on the challenge and, surprise, surprise, her Big Lots didn't have ANY delivery services to recommend!  This is one of the two scenarios I told you was going to happen.  Needless to say, this literally leaves nothing but opportunity sitting in Kathleen's own backyard.  It's Awesome!
So, keep things simple.  Take the Big Lots challenge.  Then, apply the same reconnaissance strategy to other local stores in your area.  And all along the way, if you have ANY questions, please contact your assigned Regional Director and our staff for help and support. 
We have much to do and nothing but opportunity ahead.  How do we take advantage? One step at a time.  Like me, I know you're short on time.  Just keep moving methodically forward investing time in your business each and every day.
