Subject: Inquiring into your interest in moving forward

Hello everyone, 

This is Emilia.  I have had the pleasure of working with and corresponding with many of you with YouAreTheBroker.com (YATB), but for many of you who are new to Joel's newsletter and content, this is our first correspondence, and I hope to learn more about many of you.

I have had the pleasure of working directly with Joel in his broker business and with our YATB client-providers around the country.  It is a joy and pleasure to see so many of you doing well all around the country with what are very unique logistics businesses.

The purpose for this message is to better gauge the level of interest and seriousness of those of you wishing to move forward in starting your own broker business.  Before I explain further, we always have to preface everything by saying YATB has nothing to do with NEMT, Medicaid, Medicaid brokers, or anything remotely close to medical transportationNot one thing!  This is a very common misconception and cause for confusion because of who Joel is and his ongoing work in the NEMT and home care industries.  

Although YATB is logistics based, it also has nothing to do with freight brokering.  That is easily the second most common question we receive - is this freight brokerage?   No, absolutely not.  In fact, we have many client-providers who have left the freight industry to adapted Joel's business model for a variety of reasons to include higher ROI, remaining local, and the utilization of smaller box trucks catering to a completely underserved market which means less regulation and compliance.  There is no need for DOT, FMCSA operating authority, MC numbers, etc. 

I don't want to go too far and risk confusing anyone new to Joel's newsletter or risk making this email longer than is necessary, but in short, the YATB business model targets various deliveries services, smaller move jobs, what we call "express moves," and a host of direct labor jobs that are B2C and B2B.

Many things have changed over the last few years, but especially in 2023 and into this year, which Joel will explain in greater detail as he moves forward, but the purpose of this message is to start to develop a list of those who are seriously interested in moving forward in launching a business outside of NEMT and home care and who wish to work directly with Joel's partners for one-on-one mentorship.
 
Time, availability and accessibility are always of concern while still delivering personalized and quality mentorship.  However, to ensure adequate accessibility without delaying new providers, we have discussed modifying the YATB package from $20k with a full year of one-on-one coaching to only $12k for 6 months of one-on-one with one of Joel's partners.  It will also include the buildout of the website, marketing materials, and software platform.

It is also very important to note that this is an application-based opportunity because we need to ensure that no one is located in the direct area of an existing YATB provider or any of Joel's partners.  Obviously, this is not a mass online marketing venture with the goal of getting as many click throughs or sales as possible.  Quite the opposite.  We need to be selective to protect our new and existing providers.  I trust you understand.
