Subject: Hitting Close to Home!

Hello to everyone within the Million Dollar Transportation
Community!  As always, I hope that this message finds
you all doing well and that business is booming!

I hope that you’ll read this entire message as I hope that it
encourages you to seize the day and even get you thinking
outside the box.

I went to my mother’s house for dinner tonight.  Whenever
I’m available to do so I definitely seize the day!

First, I get to be with my mother.  And yes, I am a mama’s
boy!  But also, I’m guaranteed to have an outstanding
meal!  My mom’s Italian so you know the food is
awesome!

Unfortunately, our time together tonight was overshadowed
by my mother’s concern for some of my siblings.

We have a very big Lockheed Martin facility locally that is
a significant contributor to our community.  But the bad
news is that they announced today that they’re going to be
laying off another 1500 people – and this is after they laid
off thousands of others in 2009.

But the concern for my mother and siblings is that one of
my brothers, a sister, and my cousin all work for Lockheed,
as well as numerous friends.  And as my brother and sister
both told my mother, “We’re all at risk and in danger!”

So, the reality of being laid off and the struggling economy
continues to creep closer and closer to us all!

And if you’ve personally already been laid off or had
someone close to you who has then you fully understand
the seriousness and the literal life change that it can present.

Think of the stress that my brother, sister, cousin, friends,
and family have to endure.  They know there’s going to be
layoffs.  But will they “make the cut?”

Now that’s got to be stressful!  I can’t relate, but it’s got to
be like a continuous cloud hanging over your head!

But here’s something else to think about.  Years upon
years ago when I was first starting my NEMT business and
everyone thought I was crazy I can’t tell you how often
both friends and family suggested that I just “go work for
Lockheed!”

Now I have to be honest with you.  You have absolutely
NO idea how thankful I am that God led me in my own
direction and not down the common “go get a safe and
secure job with benefits” path.

Everyone told me I could get a great job.  I’m a West Point
Grad, majored in pre-law, minored in systems engineering,
etc.  My brother, also a West Point Grad, is a program
manager there.  So supposedly I’d have “great upward
management mobility.”

But again, thank God I swam up stream, went against the
norm, and blazed my own trail!

Long story short, I’ve made far more money than had I
gotten a “real job” at Lockheed or somewhere else.

To say I’ve had more freedom and flexibility working for
ME versus Lockheed or elsewhere is an absolute
understatement!

And to say I live a much more stress-free life is just in
totally different worlds!

Now for all of you whom I have had the pleasure to meet,
work with, or for those of you who I personally don’t
know but you’ve invested in my materials and resources
and putting them into use, think about this.

What if I had taken that white collared job with Lockheed
Martin?  Think about how different my life would have
been!

I never would have been in the NEMT business and I
NEVER would have had the opportunity to meet and
work with so many of you from all over the country!
There’d be no Million Dollar ebook, Seminar, DVDs,
software, newsletter, etc.

Now trust me, I’m not trying to position myself as some
great savior or something ridiculous like that!

But rather, think about YOU.  Not just where you are
now, but where you’re going to be after you start and
grow your business.

And I’m sure you too experienced at least some people
telling you that you’re crazy for starting your own business.
“Play it safe” and go get a real job and work hard.  I’m
sure you heard all that nonsense too at least at some point
in time.

Had I listened to everyone else when they were laughing
at me and thinking that I was crazy for starting my own
business, especially in an “unknown” industry, and taken a
job with Lockheed or somewhere else I would not be who
I am today and I certainly would never have had the
pleasure to work with so many of you.

So again, think about YOU.  Where will you be one year
from now; how about three years, five years, and even ten
years from now?

I started my business in 1999.  And needless to say, I
have grown immeasurably!

Mentally, physically, spiritually, financially, I have grown
immeasurably!  But further, I have been able to meet so
many new people, form great friendships and partnerships,
and make even more money because of these opportunities
that came about because I entered the NEMT industry
ten years ago.

So again, where will you be one year, three years, five
years, and ten years from now?

What will you be?  Who will you have influenced?  Who
will have influenced you?

What new opportunities will be presented to you as the
result of starting your own business?

What new friendships and partnerships will you have the
pleasure to enjoy and benefit from as a result of building
your own business?

Needless to say, I’m confident that if, like me, you take a
leap of faith and go off on your own and start investing in
YOU versus working for someone else you will, years
down the road, find yourself like I am today – thankful
that you never took that job, that you went against
popular opinion and swam upstream and blazed your
own trail.

I can honestly and humble tell you that I am truly a
blessed person.  God has definitely looked out for this
Bald Man!

Was it always easy?  Heck no!  Was it always fun?
Heck no!  Was it always stress-free?  Heck no!

But was it all worth it? Heck yeah!  OH, Heck yeah!
I wouldn’t have done it any other way!

There’s no cloud of potential layoffs hanging over my
head.  Nor am I worried about what I’ll do if/when
someone takes my paycheck away.

Had I taken that job many years ago versus starting my
NEMT business then I’d be right there worrying about
if I’m going to “be next” and what to do if I’m laid off.

So again, what about YOU?  If you get laid off, what’s
your Plan B?  What would you do?

If you start your own business, any business, where
can/will you be years from now?

And trust me.  I’m not even suggesting that you have
to start an NEMT business to be successful!  To the
contrary, the NEMT business may not be for you and
that’s fine by me!

But my advice to you, do something!  Do anything that
you know that you have a legitimate chance to be
successful.

Get involved in a business opportunity that you have the
ability to experience personal and financial growth and
prosperity.

Invest in a business that you have the ability to diversify
and create your OWN security and financial well-being
versus just sitting idly by and waiting for circumstances
to deal their hand to you!

Again, this message is definitely not about me.   If you’re
at risk of being laid off or suffering from any financial
instability then it’s about YOU!

So if this message applies to you, what’s your Plan B?

And also, ask yourself where will you and what could
you be one year, three years, five years, and ten years
from now?

Regardless of whatever you might think, time will
continue to pass and those days will definitely arrive at
your doorstep!

But again, what and who will you be?

See you at the Top!
Joel E. Davis
