Giving people the benefit of the doubt is a great practice.

So much pain in the world is rooted in resentment and judgment.

Certainly, there are moments when we need to hold someone accountable, but even that can be done with respect and love.

Most of the time, what most of us want is to be seen as doing our best, often under difficult (and frequently hidden) circumstances. 

Healing comes when you see that even in tough times you were doing as well as you could in the moment, Friend.


Then...


... See in others what you hope they will see in you—your best.
