Have you noticed this? In years of working with women, I find this common thread emerges.
Before I tell you what it is, I don’t see this as much with younger women. Thank goodness, because it means something in our collective psyche is changing.
I’ve discovered that women in our 40-80’s seem to have a difficult time knowing what we want.

|
There are reasons for this. Here are 3 of them:
- We grew up in generations where the modeling for us was that women’s needs were secondary to men’s needs. And that’s been going on for thousands of years.
- Add to that being cut-off from our intuitive processes or raising children and choosing to attend diligently to their needs, and you’ve got quite a recipe for not knowing what you want.
- Another reason you can have a difficult time knowing what you want is if you didn’t feel fully wanted when you were in your mother’s womb. If you don’t feel wanted, it is difficult to experience wanting, because the energy of want reminds you about a painful time.
Even if you do know what you want, you might still have a nagging feeling deep inside that you are not going to get it.

So, we’ve got some significant changes to make, right down to our DNA, if we want to get clarity about what we want—and know deep down that when we choose it, we are going to receive it..

|
We begin the healing by completely reframing our experience of feeling wanted, which in turn, frees up our energy to know what we want.
You'll probably recognize this as the first need of the soul that we've been talking about in the 10 Emotional Needs of the Soul. And all of us can take this need into the Holding.
If you have ever had a difficult time knowing what you want, this is an important one to fulfill so you can easily and comfortably know your truest desires.
