Subject: What to do with agitation?

Hi Friend,

I said something in my interview the other day with Diane McClay that she thought was quite significant. The more I sat with it, the more I realized I had spoken to an often overlooked truth.

In my current journey exploring purity, I’m realizing what a calming affect it has brought to the unwanted intense agitation I had been feeling for months.

I’m not suggesting that purity is the answer to everyone’s agitation, but it brought me back to a realization I had many years ago.
Agitation is a call for action.

We often interpret our agitation as a need for someone else to change, but in reality, the chaos and frustration inside us is stirring because we have a change to make that we are resisting.

Let’s use my journey with purity as an example.

Just months ago, I was given a new project from Spirit. Along with the joy I felt every time I thought about fulfilling this mission, I also had a sense of not being ready for it.

Feeling unready caused me to feel some agitation with myself that frequently came bursting out in my interactions with Jeffrey – expecting him to change something so I would feel more at ease. Poor Jeffrey. He really is my saint!

The person that needed to change was me.

As you know from previous letters, my guidance had been giving me subtle clues to open up to the quality of purity, but I was not attending to those messages.

When the virus got a hold of me, everything in my life came to a stop, and in my earnest request for insight, one of my guides told me plainly and simply I needed to focus on purity.

The moment I started focusing on this beautiful quality, not only did I start healing dramatically, I also started calming down. My agitation disappeared.

Because of this experience, I’ve begun wondering what qualities are just waiting to be unleashed within ourselves.

How might our illnesses, anxiety, depression, anger and limitations be calling us to open up?

How might agitation in our lives be serving us by calling us to embrace greater qualities?

I always smile when someone asks for a Personal Reading with me and is willing to look at the limitations they are experiencing. Our limits are not our enemies.

They represent the places within us that are experiencing agitation and discomfort because we are ready for a significant change…

… the kind of change that brings us to greater peace, fulfillment, and ultimately—joy.

Holding you in my heart and songs,

Jeffrey and I had the privilege of sharing dinner with Barbara, her husband Dr. Larry Dossey, and Stephanie James about two months ago. We were both so touched by their wisdom and spirit, and we know you’ll love Barbara’s interview.
