Hi Friend,
Happy Weekend, sweet sister.
I was recently in a planning meeting with a group of lovely women, and one of them is consistently joyful!
It’s so wonderful to be with her, because even when there are challenges, she maintains this underlying state of calm, gratitude and love. 💛
After our call, I was thinking, “Joy was really never meant to be illusive, or a sometime thing, was it?“
But it does seem like all too often it’s a state you have to keep reaching for, doesn’t it?
So, if you wanted to live in joy, how would you get there?
Affirmations, positive thinking, tapping, therapy, only doing fun things? No doubt, some of those help for a while.
But what allows you to sustain your natural state of joy? 🌈
I’ve been doing a 30-day experiment for YouTube in living each day as my best day ever.
And I’d like to let you in on a sneak preview to one of the discoveries I’ve made:
Compassion is key to joy!
Now, to be clear, I don’t mean empathy. And yes, there is a difference.
Empathy is feeling someone else’s pain.
But compassion, in ancient feminine practices, is the birthplace of life.
So, when you enter into true feminine compassion, you are reborn and renewed. And as you become practiced in it—you start consistently experiencing joy!
Yummy huh? 🌷
The problem is that we didn’t grow up in villages where Wise Women taught us how to enter into or sustain true compassion—for ourselves or for others.
As a result, we spend so much time in empathy, as sensitive women, that we’re usually burdened in pain…
… from others and the triggered memories of childhood, past lives, and ancestral trauma.
So at best, we experience joy now and then (if ever). 😔
I believe you should get to feel joy regularly!
And good news, the ancient practice that I've been entrusted to teach, shows you how to do that.
Recently, I wrote to you about the power of the ancient practice of Restorative Compassionâ„¢.
And over the past few weeks, I’ve been getting something special ready for you—my Restorative Compassion 7-Day At-Home Reset (a mini-25 minutes a day retreat), where you—
Renew your spirit in an ancient form of compassion that actually rejuvenates you…
… so you never feel depleted or take on pain from others.
And the result of all that freed-up energy is joy!
Take a look at the 7-Day At-Home Reset and see if it’s right for you.
