Honoring fathers and men of fatherly love

Hi Friend,

As I bring this day to a close, I was reflecting on what a lovely surrogate father, my husband Jeff has been to the daughter-of-our-hearts, 4 grandchildren and great-granddaughter.

Families come in many ways. Ours formed from a young woman, who needed motherly love, and I bonded at a time when I also needed to give motherly love.

When I married Jeff, he got to be the grandfather he didn't know he wanted to be!

He discovered he was quite skilled at soothing and singing a baby to sleep, helping one of his granddaughters tie her shoes, advising his grandson in developing a business, and making dozens of birthday calls.

Some of us are blessed to have fathers and grandfathers who showered us in love. Not all of us have been that blessed. But thankfully, fatherly love can be found in many places, including directly from the Divine and from good men who are willing to love us in that way.

In honor of loving, fatherly men, I share this article in deep gratitude!

Holding you in my heart and songs,

I'd like to read it
