Hello Friend,
I was due to meet my elder at her house and my car needed oil. I was running late, but thinking I should run to the store to get oil and put it in the car before I left to pick up my elder.
However, a small voice in the back of my head was saying, "Leave now and get the oil after you get to your elder's home."

I figured I could probably make it there just fine, but logic dictated that I play it safe. So I went to to the store and took care of my truck.
On the way to my elder's house, I found myself stuck in traffic. A truck had just overturned across all the lanes an no one was going anywhere.
This was before cell-phones, so I had no way of calling my elder to tell her I was going to be really late.

I'm sharing this story from my life because this is what we tend to do. Many of us have been taught to value logic over intuition, so provided we even recognize our intuitive insights, we can easily find ourselves ignoring them.
|
|
Though it was an embarrassing lesson for me with my elder, it was an important one. With her, I was learning how to tune into my deeper connection with Spirit and follow that wisdom. Now I knew exactly what "not to do!"
After the incidence with the truck, I was a lot more inclined to recognize and follow intuitive impulses.
It has continued to get clearer, easier and more fun with time and practice. My fond prayer is that it is getting clearer for you too. |
