Happy February Friend!
Do you have a critical voice in your head that’s always telling you that you’re not good enough—and perhaps that you’ll never be? You’re not alone. In an earlier chapter of my life, I created some highly successful PR campaigns for a government-funded program. Yet all the while, in the background I was hearing self-abusing voices in my head—making me feel I would never be good enough. Now, for the most part, those voices are like whispers in the past. Thankfully! Like me, you might have a few of those voices yourself—telling you how inadequate you are. Perhaps you too are a competent, skilled, heart-felt woman—and yet those voices are making you feel upset, numb, and unable to think clearly or take action. What’s worse is that all too often, some part of us believes they just might be right. However, if we take a look at who we were as young children, we discover negative voices don’t typically form until someone accuses us (in some way or another) of being inadequate.
